Film Pouches TOLAS Healthcare Packaging offers coated or uncoated film pouches. While most films do not offer a moisture barrier like that of foil, some new film structures are offering MVTR near zero.These pouches can be supplied clear, opaque or metallized and are printable. Because film is not porous, the resulting pouches are most commonly sterilized by radiation. |

Heat Seal Coated Clear Film Pouch For products requiring product visibility and some barrier properties, TOLAS offers the following combination: TPF-0521/TPF0501A: clear heat-seal coated peelable pouch. This material combination gives clear seal indication and visible transfer when peeled and has an MVTR of 0.12g/100si./24 hr.

High Barrier Clear Film Pouches TPF-0599B/TPF-0599B: transparent tear open pouch. This aluminum oxide polyester based lamination is the solution for moisture and oxygen sensitive products that require barrier packaging as well as product visibility. TPS-4049B/TPS-4049B: peelabe pouch material. This aluminum oxide polyester based lamination is the solution for medical devices requiring excellent gas and moisture barrier and product visibility. This transparent film pouch is strong, flexible and puncture resistant. |

For products requiring some barrier properties where product visibility is not required, TOLAS offers coated and uncoated film pouch combinations. TPF-0532/TPF-0533: white/opaque heat-seal coated peelable pouch providing moisture barrier and puncture resistance. An MVTR of 0.12g/100si./24 hr is typical for this package. TPF-0534/TPF-0533: opaque heat-seal coated peelable pouch offers moderate clarity for product visibility and moderate barrier and puncture resistance. This cost-effective pouch gives clear seal indication and visible transfer when peeled and has a typical MVTR of 0.12g/100si./24 hr. |

Film can also be metallized to provide the look of foil at a lower cost. TPS-4046/TPS-4046: metalized peelable polyester based lamination. This pouch offers excellent moisture barrier and chemical resistance and is moderately puncture resistant. |

Sealant Based Peelable Pouches New to the marketplace are uncoated films with built-in sealant layers that allow peelability. These cost-effective materials provide peel characteristics when sealed face to face or to various opposite webs, including Tyvek®. All accept radiation sterilization and when sealed to Tyvek®, EtO. TPS-4045/TPF-0501A: clear polyester based lamination for medical devices requiring moderate moisture barrier and product visibility. This pouch is moderately puncture resistant. TPS-4045/1073B: clear/white EtO and radiation sterilizable peelable pouch. TPS-4046/TPS-4046: metalized peelable polyester based lamination. This pouch offers excellent moisture barrier and chemical resistance and is moderately puncture resistant. TPS-4049B/TPS-4049B: aluminum oxide coated polyester based lamination for medical devices requiring excellent gas and moisture barrier and product visibility. This transparent film pouch is strong, flexible and puncture resistant. TPS-4050/TPS-4050: clear peelable nylon based lamination is flexible with excellent puncture resistance. |
